Honeymooning

There are so many choices available for the perfect honeymoon destination that it may to prospective newlyweds. You want this trip to be filled with happy, and loving memories that will last a lifetime. The wrong honeymoon destination could be a huge disappointment.

Couples first must decide when to take their trip. For years it was tradition to leave right after the wedding. Couples are more practical today. Weddings are major events in many cases, so it's natural to expect a letdown once the excitement is over. Rather than going during the post- wedding blue period, more and more people opt for waiting a month or two. This gives them something to look forward to down the road a bit. Instead of leaving on their big adventure, they often go away for the week- end together right after the wedding. Think of it as a "mini-moon".

When deciding your honeymoon destination you should first determine how long you want your vacation to last. If you only have a week, you may want to leave out destinations such as Europe or Asia. You will probably lose two days to travel, and feel jetlagged for a few days after. You may end up feeling as though your trip is over before it’s even begun. If you only have a week, the Caribbean is one of the most desirable destinations. There are many different islands to choose from, and almost all of them offer fantastic all-inclusive deals. These all-inclusive luxury resorts offer food, drinks, entertainment, and a fabulous location for a very reasonable price. If you wish to spend your honeymoon basking in the warm sun and enjoying each other’s company in a relaxed setting, the Caribbean may be for you. Vacations in the Caribbean are also ideal for winter honeymoons.
